Breeder of Top Quality Standard Poodles for Conformation, Performance, and Family Pets.   Located in southeastern Wisconsin just north of Milwaukee in the Town of Saukville.  For you international Poodle lovers, Milwaukee is about 80 miles north of Chicago, Illinois. Our Poodles excel at all performance venues especially Agility, Obedience, and Hunting.

Owner/handler is John Pittman with grooming assistance from his very able wife, Patty.  Member of

John, at various times, has instructed Obedience and Agility. He has put many Obedience and Agility titles on multiple dogs, including a CDX on his first "competition" dog, a miniature Dachshund name Hilda. His first Poodle was Kramer(John's Second Happy Dog UDX).

In 2004, John and Patty moved to have more room for more Poodles and to start a breeding program.  They live on 12 acres on the west shore of Daly Lake, a small 13 acre wildlife lake, in rural Ozaukee County.

We adhere to the ethical guidlines as published by the Poodle Club of America.  That includes performing all recommended genetic tests and health screenings.   We believe that healthy sires and dams with great conformation will result in superior performance canines and better pets. Results of these tests may be found on the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals website.

Gladystar Poodles are registered with the American Kennel Club ( AKC ). Despite what some animal rights activists may try to lead you to believe, the AKC is the premier advocate for dogs. It is a club of clubs which means the breed parent club writes and controls the breed standard. The AKC, through its foundation, donates millions of dollars per year to support research into canine health. Through AKC guidance, thousands of performance events are held each year.
